I am interested in analyzing spoken language using various scientific methods. An ultimate goal of my research is to build a machine that automatically translates one language into another, especially from English into Korean and vice versa. I have been performing research projects in areas of phonetics, automatic evaluation of EFL speech, speech database construction, etc.
저는 과학적인 방법으로 인간의 음성언어를 분석하는데 관심이 있습니다. 실험음성학, 컴퓨터를 이용한 음성분석, 음성데이터 구축, 한국인 영어학습자 영어발음의 자동채점, 전산언어학 등과 관련된 연구를 수행해왔으며 궁극적인 목표는 자동통역시스템의 구축입니다.
